Release Date
Play Station 5 will be available on Christmas 2020. Sony has not unveiled the exact date of Play Station 5 launch yet.
Games
According to Mark Cerny, Sony confirmed the fact that some PS4 games will be compatible with PS5 (cross-generation). That's something a lot of gamers was asking since the release of PS2.
Price
According to Mark Cerny (current developer of PS4 and PS5): "I believe that we will be able to release it at an SRP (suggested retail price) that will be appealing to gamers in light of its advanced feature set".
Functionality
PS5 will support 4K and 8K gaming but 8K gaming will be depend on the companies which create games. It's sure that not all the companies will be able to create games compatible with 8K gaming. Also, TVs will be the main factor that will affect 8K gaming. As far the characteristics of PS5 are concerned, PS5 will contain an AMD chip that has a CPU based on the third-generation Ryzen. It will have 8 cores of 7nm Zen 2 microchip. A similar version of Radeon's Navi line will constitute graphics. Moreover, Sony has confirmed that the PS5 will support 4K Visuals at 120Hz. Last but not least, PS5 will support 3D Audio.
PSVR
Mark Cerny said: "I won't go into the details of our VR strategy, beyond saying that VR is very important to us and that the current PSVR headset is compatible with the new console." As it seems, maybe, Sony has not developed an updated version of PSVR yet and that's the reason why Mark Cerny had not a long talk about it.
Name
Sony has not unveiled yet the official name of the console and still characterize it as ''next-generation PlayStation".
